This past Sunday Brooke and Sean were married at the Nicollet Island Pavilion in downtown Minneapolis. The couple flew home from Manhattan to celebrate their union with all their family and friends. This was actually my first time meeting Brooke and Sean and we hot it off right away....pretty easy with such nice people and great family! We started with some of the guys getting ready at the Depot and then onto the girls over at the Nicollet Island Inn. From there, we did all the family and wedding party pictures around the area. After the ceremony, which the rain luckily held off, the couple joined their guests for their social hour and then it was non-stop entertainment to say the least! This past Saturday Sam and Joanna tied the knot at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts in Minneapolis. It was a fairly cool and gloomy day but certainly made nice for wedding photos. Sam and Jo have been planning their Minneapolis wedding from Chicago where they reside. Thanks to the dedicated talents of Joan with Ambiente Wedding & Event Planning, the day went off flawlessly. We have teamed up with Joan many times through the years and love every opportunity to work a wedding with her. She's as good as they come. The amazing staff at MIA was no different. This past Friday Graddy Photography covered Mike & Theresa's wedding at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in St. Paul, Minnesota with their reception following at the James J. This past Saturday Graddy Photography made it up to Duluth to cover Cory & April's amazing wedding. The weather was perfect for a north shore wedding with it being in the high 60's. The couple was married at Enger Park overlooking Duluth. If you ever get a chance, go to Enger Tower, by far the best view in Duluth. This past Saturday Graddy Photography covered Chris & Tara's wedding at Central Lutheran Church in Minneapolis with the reception following at the Minneapolis City Hall. It's been a few years since we have shot at Central Lutheran Church but what a beautiful venue. We started the day off there with some getting ready pictures, then the couple's first sight. From there, we headed down to Saint Anthony Main and the Stone Arch Bridge for some wedding party pictures. After that we headed back to the church for the ceremony. The couple had their pastor from Hosanna in Lakeville come to marry them at the church. Of course I'm speaking of the amazing Bill Bohline, head pastor of Hosanna! The couple had an great send off by guests at the church and then it was onto Brit's Pub in downtown Minneapolis for some well deserved drinks! Finally, we all made it back to the Minneapolis City Hall where we did some shots with the couple before their announcement into the reception. Well, what can we say......it was an absolute honor and privilege to cover your guy's wedding. We have had a great time meeting your family and of course some of your great circle of friends. Back in the saddle again!!! Hey why not when it's 80 degrees and sunny at Grand View Lodge in Nisswa, Minnesota. This couldn't have worked out any better, two wonderful weddings at Minnesota's best resort! Today Kristina and Cory tied the knot and Graddy Photography was on hand to capture all the great emotion of the day. The day started off with getting ready photos at Roy Lake Cottages (Grand View property) right across the street from the main lodge. After the couple's first sight, we headed back over to the main lodge to get some creative couples shots and wedding party photos. The ceremony was held on the main pathway directly in front of the amazing grand staircase which gives Grand View such a unique wedding experience. After the ceremony the guests made their way up to the Gull Lake Center for the wedding reception. The rest of evening was great, be sure to check out the mother & son dance.....good stuff! This past Saturday Graddy Photography covered Barb & Jim's wedding at the Semple Mansion. Barb & Jim have been so amazing to work with and we are very thankful for their business. Funny thing, Barb actually contacted us before she was actually engaged to have us do her wedding and as soon as she was engaged, she was on the phone with us shortly thereafter. The Semple Mansion provided a beautiful setting for some getting ready pictures. Then it was off to Mt. Olivet Church in Minneapolis for the ceremony itself. After a great ceremony with lots of laughs, it was back to the Semple Mansion for the cocktail hour and reception. Thanks so much once again Barb & Jim, I had a great time working with you both.
