Jenna and Josh were married this past Saturday with the ceremony at Aster Cafe and the reception at 514 Studios in Minneapolis, MN. Jenna had told us that she would want us to photograph her wedding someday even before she got engaged as we have known her for quite some time as she also works within the wedding industry as an event coordinator. We were honored when she did get engaged and followed through with asking us to capture her special day. It was a perfect fall wedding with some fabulous vendors. Our good friend Dawn who we have also known for years as a coordinator at Carlson Center was even the officiant at the wedding ceremony. We wish you guys the absolute best!

We are super excited to be a top 3 finalist for our 5th year in a row for the "Best Photography" award and for our 4th year for "Top of the Tiara/Best Overall Vendor in the MN Wedding Industry" award! One winner from each category will be announced in July at the annual Minnesota Bride magazine party which celebrates all of the top talent in the Minnesota wedding industry. We have been honored to have been given the award for "Best Photography" in 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 as well as the award for "Top of the Tiara/Best Overall Vendor in the Industry" in 2014 and are looking forward to seeing what 2015 might bring in a few months! This past week was a busy one for weddings for Graddy Photography having covered four, yes four weddings! Lace | Golden Valley Country Club Wedding
WOW! What an amazing wedding! Brandon & Kayla pulled off an amazing wedding and we were absolutely thrilled to be a part of their BIG day! Brandon is a good friend of Justin's from Mankato where they studied the same major. Brandon was actually a guest at our wedding seven years ago. Brandon contacted Graddy Photography as soon as they were engaged last year, luckily we were still available! Kayla is an absolute sweetheart and we have enjoyed getting to know her and them as a couple. They compliment each other very well and wish them only the best! The wedding took place at Our lady of Grace Church in Edina with the reception to follow at the Golden Valley Country Club. We made a little stop off to get some creative shots on the way to the reception. Luckily, the rain held off just long enough to get the shots we needed. We had a great time with the wedding party. There were some familiar faces in the crowd so that always make it easier. The couple made it back in time to enjoy cocktail hour with their guests. After being announced in, the couple led into their first dance. The rest of the evening was a great celebration with family and friends. Here's a shot that recently placed 8th for transportation in the Quarter 4 round of the WPJA competition. What's great about this shot that it actually wasn't staged at all although it may look like it. Also, gotta love the nice layering and reflections. Every year WPJA hosts the largest wedding photography competitions in the world judged by panels of award-winning photojournalists. Competitions, which are held quarterly and open only to WPJA members, are part of the association’s commitment to upholding the highest standards in wedding photojournalism. Membership in WPJA requires rigorous standards in technical skill, aesthetics and best business practices.
