Graddy Photography had the pleasure to cover Jill & Mark's wedding this past Saturday at Carlson Center.  What a perfect windy & warm day for an outdoor wedding!  We absolutely love shooting weddings at Carlson Rotunda.  The backdrop is second to media file as is the amazing staff.  Beverly & Dawn were extraordinary to work with, always on top of things.  Jill & Mark were such a beautiful couple, happy in love.  We are thankful to have been given the opportunity to document their big day!  Have an amazing honeymoon in Maui guys! Here's a shot that recently placed 8th for transportation in the Quarter 4 round of the WPJA competition.  What's great about this shot that it actually wasn't staged at all although it may look like it.  Also, gotta love the nice layering and reflections.  Every year WPJA hosts the largest wedding photography competitions in the world judged by panels of award-winning photojournalists. Competitions, which are held quarterly and open only to WPJA members, are part of the association’s commitment to upholding the highest standards in wedding photojournalism. Membership in WPJA requires rigorous standards in technical skill, aesthetics and best business practices.

This past week Graddy Photography was invited up to Grand View Lodge in Nisswa, Minnesota to cover all the commercial photography for Glacial Waters Spa at Grand View Lodge along with Cru at Grand View Lodge.  Cru is a French wine term meaning great growth and is used to refer to an area of incredible harvest. As Grand View Lodge's newest dining venue, the restaurant features worldly wines and small plates with local and regional flavors. At Cru, rich decor creates an intimate atmosphere, providing the perfect dining experience for a romantic dinner or special get-together with friends.  I personally had a chance to try all the dishes and WOW!.....top notch.  The expert cooks do an extraordinary job in cooking and presenting the one-of-a-kind plates.  You can't not try the Pasta Carbonara and the Grilled Lamb Sliders, both are bursting with flavor and texture.  Be sure to check out some of the newer menu items being added this year at Cru.  I am proud to say we had the opportunity to shoot the stock photography for all theses outstanding cuisines.  Graddy Photography specializes in wedding photojournalism and commercial/editorial photography.  Graddy Photography is located in Minneapolis and travels all over the state and abroad to cover events and weddings.

Brittney & Steve | Onyx Bar Wedding Photos

This past Saturday Graddy Photography covered Brittney & Steve's wedding at 5120 Restaurant & Onyx Bar in Bloomington.  This is the first time we have shot there so I was looking forward to it.  It is a beautiful, quaint space with plenty attention to detail.  The staff was really great to work with as well.  As for the wedding, the day went perfect and the rain held off so we could shoot over to Centennial Lakes in Edina for some wedding party and couples pictures.  Thanks so much Brittney & Steve for including Graddy Photography in your wedding day plans and we wish you both the very best......congrats!!!

Graddy Photography recently placed images in the Q4 Contest for the Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association (AG|WPJA).  The Q4 Contest showcases the wedding photojournalism of AG|WPJA members for 2011, and rewards their artistic abilities in enhancing those photographs through post production processes. The Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association AG|WPJA is comprised of outstanding wedding photographers, who are at the forefront of the wedding photography industry when it comes to enhancing images. The chief objective of the AG|WPJA is to provide members with a platform where the finest enhanced, manipulated and/or artistic wedding photojournalism in the world is spotlighted and promoted for the bride and groom.

The AG|WPJA is a separate division of the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA). Whereas the WPJA upholds strict guidelines that forbid excessive picture manipulation, the AG|WPJA encourages and fosters creative image enhancement, with the vision of promoting Fine Art Wedding Photojournalists.

The AG|WPJA establishes and upholds high standards that are taken into consideration during the judging process for our wedding photography contests. Using all artistic tools at their disposal, members skillfully enliven their work in post production processing.
