Well this was certainly an amazing shoot! I was approached with the idea of the cover shot of this years Dining Guide for Grand View Lodge to be a rainbow trout dish. Of course I was excited because for one I am an obsessor of trout and salmon fishing as many of my friends can attest and certainly my wife ha and two....they are one of my fav dishes to prepare at home. What made this shoot so much more rich was the fact that I had a winter steelhead (rainbow trout) run planned only a few days prior and low and behold I was able to catch a dandy 8 lb. rainbow for the shoot. Also, we and my girls hand painted the backdrops leading up to the shoot for the cover shot which they were so thrilled about! We are very excited to grab a copy of the the Grand View Lodge Dining Guide!

This past week was a very busy week at Graddy Photography. For starters, we had two wonderful weddings at Grand View Lodge in Nisswa, Minnesota. Then a couple chill days at Grand View Lodge with the boat then it was off to work for our favorite commercial vendors. We photographed a lot of tasty food and loads of other stuff for the resort. Graddy Photography joined the marketing department of Grand View Lodge as a freelance photographer a little more than a year ago and we have been making big waves in both our respective industries, hospitality and the wedding industry. We cannot thank you all enough for your continued support and appreciation of our work and we look forward to seeing you all again here shortly in the near future. Last week Graddy Photography covered some commercial food photography for Tanque Verde Ranch in Tucson, Arizona. This was our second time down there this year and it was a ton of fun! Believe it or not it was actually spring somewhere! The weather was in the mid 80's with a slight desert breeze.....absolutely perfect! Graddy Photography has been covering commercial and editorial photography for Grand View Lodge in Minnesota and Tanque Verde Ranch in Arizona for a year now.....can't believe how fast a year goes by. Here's a few shots of some of the amazing items on the dinner menu at Cru which is located in the Gull Lake Center of Grand View Lodge. Cru Restaurant and Wine Bar features a vast cellar of over 2,000 bottles of worldly wines and offers over 20 wines by the glass. Cru’s unique fare uses local and regional flavors, prepared by the talented Chef de Cuisine Paul Fitzpatrick. At Cru, rich decor creates an intimate and relaxing atmosphere, providing the perfect dining experience for a romantic dinner or a casual get-together with friends. We absolutely love the food here and they are doing things right! Graddy Photography headed up to the MInnesota History Center in St. Paul yesterday to capture the amazing room shots for the event. This was an amazing event and Event Lab did a magnificent job as always. The food, deserts, and sangria looked amazing.....might have to indulge next time ha!
