Well this was certainly an amazing shoot! I was approached with the idea of the cover shot of this years Dining Guide for Grand View Lodge to be a rainbow trout dish. Of course I was excited because for one I am an obsessor of trout and salmon fishing as many of my friends can attest and certainly my wife ha and two....they are one of my fav dishes to prepare at home. What made this shoot so much more rich was the fact that I had a winter steelhead (rainbow trout) run planned only a few days prior and low and behold I was able to catch a dandy 8 lb. rainbow for the shoot. Also, we and my girls hand painted the backdrops leading up to the shoot for the cover shot which they were so thrilled about! We are very excited to grab a copy of the the Grand View Lodge Dining Guide!
