This past week Graddy Photography made it out to Tucson, Arizona for a 5 day commercial shoot at Tanque Verde Ranch. It has been two years since we have been there so it was very nice to be back. We have been shooting for Tanque Verde Ranch since 2012 and look forward to every opportunity to showcase our talents and have an amazing time! This obviously was no different and this was one of many pieces we did throughout the week. This is the cocktail guide for the Doghouse Saloon located on the ranch. You might even see them this summer at Grand View Lodge at the new Tanque Verde Cantina (formerly Looney's Pub) located right on the beach. Every one of these hand-crafted cocktails is sure to please especially after a long day of riding at the ranch or after a day on the water in Minnesota!

This past April was Grand View Lodge's second annual Distilled Craft Spirits & Artisan Meats weekend. Last years first annual Distilled event was a major success and subsequently was awarded for Best Marketing Event by ILEA Minneapolis at the Star Awards. So this award-winning weekend kicks off with the Friday evening welcome dinner featuring a special guest speaker as well as a featured distiller pouring coordinating drinks to match the five course dinner. Saturday kicks off with demonstrations and classes then break for lunch while the bartender challenge is going on. Then onto a few afternoon classes which lead right into the Grand Tasting. This is an excellent opportunity to sample different spirits from many different vendors and also ask questions and brush shoulders with many of the owners of all these fabulous in-state vendors. We would like to thank Grand View Lodge for placing their trust in Graddy Photography as their Minnesota resort photographer, always a blast!

This past year has been a ton of fun meeting new people and attending some really great events. I had the pleasure of meeting Lee Egbert, owner of Dashfire Bitters, last April at Grand View Lodge's Distilled event. Distilled is a food and cocktail oriented weekend hosted by Grand View Lodge. Last year was their first year hosting the event and it turned out to be a huge success. Graddy Photography was on hand to photograph and provide HD video of all the tastings and dinners. Since last April, Distilled has recently been awarded by ILEA as Best Marketing/Graphic Design at the MN Star Awards for the overall marketing of the event from logo design, brochures to social media and e-blasts. Graddy Photography decided to start networking with some of the vendors involved to further contribute to the successes of these already growing businesses. Being the graphic design major that I am, I was very impressed with the marketing and design of Dashfire Bitters. So looking forward, I hope to offer my services to those vendors looking for newly updated imagery. I can't wait to see where Lee and Dashfire are headed in their bright future! This past week Graddy Photography headed up to Grand View Lodge to cover our fifth consecutive year of shooting for their dining guide. This week Graddy Photography welcomed another little newborn to the studio...meet Remington. Amber and Tyler, have been clients of our going on three years now, hard to believe. They are back for round two. We have done all of Sabrina's first year pictures from newborn to one year's old and hope to see this little guy in again at six months and a year old. Dad is currently deployed but will be home in May to see his little guy for the first time. We should all be so thankful for our military and their families for the sacrifices they make day in and out. Moments like these are when you realize the significance of how important these life moments are. See you all next time in the near future!

This past week we welcomed baby Peyton to Graddy Photography studios for her first pictures! We were so thrilled to meet her. The parents, Katelyn and Ross, are former wedding clients of ours from 2014. It is amazing how fast time flies but we are so thankful to be trusted once again with such a huge milestone in their lives. Graddy Photography is certainly keeping busy in the winter months with the newborns and studio photography. We look forward to an amazing spring here at our studio in Northfield. This past weekend Graddy Photography kicked off our sixth year in business with Grand View Lodge with deVine, their annual wine experience. With wine vendors from all over the country participating, it was sure to be a fabulous time. Grand View Lodge had a great list of hosts for the dinners namely WCCO's Jason DeRusha, Minnesota Monthly's Joy Summers and Lenny Russo from Heartland. Aside from the welcome dinner, the next day included a soup cook-off between all the in-house restaurants for the guests to sample and vote on as well as a judged cooking demo. Throughout the day there were numerous seminars taking place and finally to cap the day off, the Grand Tasting which was held in the Gull Lake Center. It blows me away every time to see the attention to detail and hard work that goes into making these events such a great success. We are very much looking forward to this next year! Haley & Matt tied the knot this past July at the James J. Hill Library in downtown St. Paul. This was an event packed day stretching from one side of Rice park to the other. The reception was to take place at the Landmark Center a half block away. Also, the girls were getting makeup done at The Saint Paul Hotel and the guys getting ready at Heimie’s Haberdashery. So from the start we had some logistics to figure out. No one person better suited for that than the fabulous Sarah Trotter of Lasting Impressions Weddings. Not only organizing this one to a “T”, she also put together an All-Star cast of vendors namely Sadie’s Couture Floral, Virtuoso Video, Instant Request, and Apres. Graddy Photography was on hand to cover Katie and Joe's magical winter wedding last Saturday. Katie and Joe, what can I say other than WOW! You guys pulled off such amazing wedding! With Sarah Trotter of Lasting Impressions Wedding Coordination, no stone was left unturned and this was a true masterpiece of perfection and precision planned by her. Sarah continues to amaze us with her attention to detail, orientation, and overall exuberance to each and every wedding she orchestrates. The day started of at the bride's residence where we were teamed up with the one and only John Hoel of Vibrant Film. This guy and his work ethic continues to blow us away! We are so thankful to shoot alongside him, he is the very definition of an artist in every sense of the word. After getting ready photos it was off to Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Edina, Minnesota. After the ceremony, we headed over to Interlachen Country Club for some photos with the wedding party and happy hour. Finally, it was over to the Machine Shop in downtown Minneapolis. The Machine Shop is the real deal, a very hip new venue in the Saint Anthony Main district across the river from the Stone Arch Bridge. Many thanks to Jessica at the Machine Shop for everything...love working with friends! We look forward to working at the Machine Shop in the years to come.
