Maria and Nick tied the knot this past Saturday at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Shakopee with their reception to follow at the amazing Chaska Curling Center. This new venue is pretty unreal, glad so "south of the river" has a hot new venue. The wedding went amazing and it was so nice to be welcomed by the families. I actually first met Maria and her family four years ago while doing their family pictures. Funny how things work out sometimes! This week Graddy Photography ventured out into the great white unknown that is Minnesota winter and headed to St. Paul to cover some executive head shots and stock commercial photography for Activated Growth and Healthy Food Ingredients. The shoot had a ton of positive energy right from the start and we were able to weave and flow and capture all the staff head shots as well as some photojournalism. This past New Years Eve Graddy Photography shot our very last wedding of 2016. Our year was full of many great couples and weddings and what better way to end our year than with these guys. This past Saturday the Guthrie got turned upside down with this bunch! Karen and Chad tied the knot on the 9th floor of the Guthrie Theater in the Gold Room in downtown Minneapolis. The ceremony was performed by the bride's brother and then again at dinner because they forgot to exchange rings during the actual ceremony....ha! Karen and Chad currently reside in San Francisco but flew home to get married. In tow with them from California was a fantastic group of friends and family that were ready for a celebration! I have to say I have shot a lot of weddings in my day, but this one was pretty unreal! From the bride's brother singing "Livin' on a Prayer" to the afterwards dance party! Last Saturday Graddy Photography covered Sara and Nate's wedding at the Mill City Museum in downtown Minneapolis. I was just at Mill City the night before for the wedding....same venue, two different days, weather, and couple made for a great weekend at my favorite venue in the Twin Cities. Last Friday Abby and Doug tied the knot at the historic Mill City Museum in downtown Minneapolis. It was our first time shooting there in a while and I was quickly reminded why I would have to say this is my favorite venue to shoot at. Despite raining all darn day, we were able to get some great shots inside the venue. The ceremony took place in the rail corridor. Of course that was not their first choice but Abby was in great spirits and rolled with the punches. This past Saturday we were asked to cover Kelly and Andrew's wedding. Huge thanks to Amy of Fete Perfection for all of the planning to make this day awesome! Kelly and Andrew currently reside in New York City but flew home to get hitched. We started the day with getting ready photos at Loew's Minneapolis and then onto the Stone Arch Bridge for wedding party photos. From there, we headed down to Mears Park for some wedding party shots. Next, onto the rooftop ceremony.
