This past April was Grand View Lodge's second annual Distilled Craft Spirits & Artisan Meats weekend. Last years first annual Distilled event was a major success and subsequently was awarded for Best Marketing Event by ILEA Minneapolis at the Star Awards. So this award-winning weekend kicks off with the Friday evening welcome dinner featuring a special guest speaker as well as a featured distiller pouring coordinating drinks to match the five course dinner. Saturday kicks off with demonstrations and classes then break for lunch while the bartender challenge is going on. Then onto a few afternoon classes which lead right into the Grand Tasting. This is an excellent opportunity to sample different spirits from many different vendors and also ask questions and brush shoulders with many of the owners of all these fabulous in-state vendors.
