This past Saturday was Kelsey & Jake's wedding and we were more than thrilled to have captured it! Jake and Kelsey are good friends of ours and we have a lot of mutual friends from college and high school through them. We started the day with getting ready photos at the Radisson Blu Mall of America and then off to the ceremony in Bloomington. From there, we made a quick stop off at a copule spots for some wedding party pictures and a quick drink. Finally, back to Radisson Blu MOA for the amazing reception! This past Friday Stephanie and Josh tied the knot at the Calhoun Beach Club in Minneapolis. It was yet another cool but nice Minnesota summer day and we were able to get in all the photos we needed without the weather interfering. For many, I'm sure they really got a kick out of the grandmothers' as flower girls and I just thought it was very neat that Josh had his father as his best man! Jared and Stephanie tied the knot last Saturday here in Minneapolis, Minnesota surrounded by many of their close family and friends. We started the day at the Courtyard Marriott Downtown Minneapolis and then headed over to Bohemian Flats for the ceremony and boat cruise with Paradise Charters. The ceremony took place at the outdoor pavilion and shortly thereafter the guests loaded the charter cruise on the Mississippi River. What a great way for family and friends to celebrate their union. Thanks guys, it was a true pleasure working with both of you!

This past Saturday Sam and Joanna tied the knot at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts in Minneapolis. It was a fairly cool and gloomy day but certainly made nice for wedding photos. Sam and Jo have been planning their Minneapolis wedding from Chicago where they reside. Thanks to the dedicated talents of Joan with Ambiente Wedding & Event Planning, the day went off flawlessly. We have teamed up with Joan many times through the years and love every opportunity to work a wedding with her. She's as good as they come. The amazing staff at MIA was no different. This past week Graddy Photography made it out to Jordan Elementary School to cover some aerial photos and stock commercial photos of their new school. We actually shot this last late August but we had to make due with the overcast conditions and the photos were less than punchy. So we took it upon ourselves to revisit it this spring and get some more vibrant shots. Luckily for us, it paid off!

This past week Graddy Photography headed back to some old familiar grounds of Burnsville High School. I graduated from there 19 years ago and I must say, it's certainly not the same school I remember. This amazing new build out was downright impressive and completely changed the look and orientation of the school. Gone are the days of text book with desks in rows....mine as well be a college campus! It was a pretty neat experience to see my old high school again but it was also a reminder of the only thing that stays the same...change. This is a beautiful example for many schools and institutions to model their own after.
