This past September 23rd, Nick and Amanda tied the knot at the McNamara Alumni Center on the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis. Elizabeth + Drew | Mill City Museum Wedding Photographer
Wow! What an amazing fall shoot this was with the ever charismatic Drew and the ever exuberant Elizabeth! The couple flew home from Manhattan a few days ago to spend time with their families and to knock out some wedding stuff. I'm sure both Elizabeth and Drew are no strangers of being in front of the camera or center of attention (Drew the Broadway musical composer and Elizabeth the Off-Broadway actress, dancer, and singer) but this was just them being them and I was merely a fly on the wall. Elizabeth and Drew are getting married next October back here in Minneapolis at the Mill City Museum. Joan Nilsen with Ambiente Wedding & Event Planning will be leading us through the day and the planning process. I think I speak for us all that this will no doubt be an amazing wedding and celebration! Glory | Machine Shop Minneapolis Wedding Photos
This past Friday Conor and Coleen tied the knot at the Machine Shop in downtown Minneapolis. It was the first official day of fall but it was hot....94 degrees to be exact. We ventured out into the heat for a bit to get some shots on the Stone Arch Bridge but for the most part we stayed pretty cool inside the air-conditioned Machine Shop. Rush | San Francisco Wedding Photographer
Well well....all I can say is what an amazing time! Ashley and Tommy are wedding clients of Graddy Photography and will be getting married next June at the Lafayette Club in Minnetonka Beach. In the meantime, they invited us out to San Francisco to do their engagement pictures. I think I speak for us all that that was an excellent idea! We have been to SF once before about 5 years ago and it was one of my favorite cities in the U.S. since, this only solidified it as probably my favorite. The sights, sounds, smell of eucalyptus, the fog, the history and the hills. Now top that off with an amazing shoot with an extraordinary couple and you have memories that last a lifetime right there. We started the morning off at Land's End and then headed up to the Japanese Tea Gardens in Golden Gate Park. From there we headed down to the docks next to Ghirardelli Square and Hyde St. Pier for some more pictures. Unfortunately we were unable to capture any off the Golden Gate Bridge because of the intense fog. Go all the way to SF and do this whole shoot and don't even get the Golden Gate Bridge in there ha! That's alright though we already had an evening planned for a nighttime cable car ride and walk through Chinatown. Tommy has yet to go on a cable car so this was a perfect opportunity. But first we had to have some celebratory beverages for the birthday girl Ashley!
Thank you guys so incredibly much for everything, you guys are so much fun to work with and we are proud to call you friends and clients. We'll see ya in June for sure but hopefully before then when you make it back to Minnesota. You guys rock!
Homecoming | Semple Mansion Wedding Photos
This past Saturday Graddy Photography captured Krysta and David's wedding at the Semple Mansion in downtown Minneapolis. It has been three whole years since I shot at the Semple Mansion but I felt right at home once I walked through the doors. I have shot this venue a ton of times in my 12 year career but this is one of the coolest lit one's I have seen in recent years. Krysta and David currently live in Denver but wanted to have their family back home close to friends and family. But they will soon be moving back this January. Thanks so much for having us document your wedding day.....it was so great getting to know you both and of course we wish you the absolute best!

This past week we, as a family, hooked up the travel trailer and made the Upper Peninsula loop around Michigan. There was plenty of ground covered, 1300 miles to be exact. We definitely made some memories on this trip and will be back for more next summer!
