This week was full of amazing opportunities, one was visiting Door County, WI for the very first time. Of course being from the Mid-West, I have heard many great things about Door County and it certainly lives up to its expectations. We were shooting for Glidden Lodge Beach Resort right on the waters of Lake Michigan. The weather was amazing and I was able to capture some amazing evening shots and early morning shots. The sunrise on the morning photos was 5:03am so the whole lake was lit up with this hazy pink glow at 4:30am so naturally I had to get up and grab the camera right away. This past week was just unbelievable! Graddy Photography made our way up to Northern Lights Resort on Lake Kabetogama inside Voyageurs National Park. This was actually our third time up there since last May. We have been so thrilled to have these guys as clients and look forward to many more years of amazing memories and shooting. We were on hand to capture all the 4th of July fun including a lot of fishing, kayaking, cruising to Kettle Falls, exploring Ellsworth Rock Gardens, and of course the spectacular fireworks display right at the resort. This past week Graddy Photography headed up to Grand View Lodge to cover our fifth consecutive year of shooting for their dining guide. It has been whirlwind of success through the years and we are looking forward to pushing ourselves further every year. We have been meticulously planning the shoot for months from menu and presentation to the overall production. We are extremely proud to work alongside some of the most talented, award-winning culinary chefs in the state and feel part of something truly special. This past weekend Graddy Photography kicked off our sixth year in business with Grand View Lodge with deVine, their annual wine experience. With wine vendors from all over the country participating, it was sure to be a fabulous time. Grand View Lodge had a great list of hosts for the dinners namely WCCO's Jason DeRusha, Minnesota Monthly's Joy Summers and Lenny Russo from Heartland. Aside from the welcome dinner, the next day included a soup cook-off between all the in-house restaurants for the guests to sample and vote on as well as a judged cooking demo. Throughout the day there were numerous seminars taking place and finally to cap the day off, the Grand Tasting which was held in the Gull Lake Center. It blows me away every time to see the attention to detail and hard work that goes into making these events such a great success. We are very much looking forward to this next year!
