Howard A. Foss
Local musician Howard Foss, age 67, passed away peacefully on his birthday, December 14th, at his home in Murrieta, California. Howard left his musical career for two years to serve with the Army in Vietnam. He was a demolitions expert and received five medals in the process.
As one friend said, "Howie was amazing! One of the coolest guys I've ever met. Swinging drummer, raconteur, chef extraordinaire, Twin City legend, boater, party director, Vietnam vet and friend to all."
He is survived by his daughter Nissa Foss, her mother"Sam" Foss and grandchildren Jaxson and Lily McGrath of Murrieta, California, sister Bonnie Wood, niece Sheri(Wood) Lucas and husband Stan Lucas, great niece and great nephew Lizzie and Drew Lucas, all of South St. Paul, Minnesota. Howard is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Emma(nee Hayden) Foss.
On a side note, we are deeply sorry for your loss and wish the best in coping with the loss of your father. We want to personally thank you Nissa for deciding to go ahead with documenting the funeral service. We are thankful to have provided a service that will help you remember your father and to recognize his commitment to his country.
